Over the last 19 years we have had an entire generation of fathers and sons come and go on our father-son river trip. My sons, like many of yours are now out of college, working and some of your sons have even started their own family. Many of these young men and their fathers still come with us year after year. It is my firm belief, if we can ever get a father and son to come with us once, we will likely enjoy their company for years to come. The trip is open to all grandfathers, fathers and sons without an invitation. This year's trip is a big one, our 20th Annual. We are hoping all of our former alumni will return and we are hoping to add many first timers to our group. I need your help reaching this next generation and our former alumni. Please help me meet our goal of "leaving no father and son behind" by spreading the word.
This trip provides fathers and sons the opportunity to enjoy a "memory making" adventure in a land both beautiful and unspoiled. It happens in a setting where God's magnificent handiwork is on display around every bend of the river. Your sons will discover an America from a simpler time. A place that many of us have experienced, but our sons may have only read about. An America where the local cafe remains the social hub of the community. An America were the people are unpretentious, friendly, hard working, rugged, patriotic and "mostly" God fearing. The trip is always refreshing and is like stepping back in time to a forgotten day where life moved much slower.
One’s time is the most precious gift one person can give to another. Our time with our sons is fleeting. They grow up so fast. For me, this point is driven home by the words of Gus from the movie Lonesome Dove, "life is short, shorter for some than others” and from the lyrics of the hit 70’s song “Cats in the Cradle” by Harry Chapin. This trip provides a unique opportunity for fathers and sons to share some quality time together. It also provides a wonderful opportunity to share an exciting adventure with like minded friends of any age.
The trip is habit forming. Many of you know this feeling. It's what we look forward to every spring. The memories we have made are "priceless" . Memories of a type that will last us a lifetime.
Let’s spread the word and encourage as many fathers and sons as we can to join us. Let's leave no father and son behind. The adventure continues April 17th and early sign up begins tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. Sign up by going to the registration link located at http://camptatum.com
We shall have another glorious time. Please plan now to join us!
Sincerely,
The Founder
